Mrs. Siddons Canvas Tote Bag
This limited edition tote bag features Kehinde Wiley's 2012 painting Mrs. Siddons, which was first exhibited at Sean Kelly Gallery in "An Economy of Grace", Wiley's first-ever series dedicated to female subjects. Reimagined from Thomas Gainsborough's 1785 painting of the same name, Wiley's subject wears a dress designed in collaboration with Riccardo Tisci. Assuming the pose of her 18th century counterpart, her head is tilted rightward, looking to something beyond the canvas edges.
