On December 5th at 10 am EST, a limited set of 30 prints will be made available, with all proceeds supporting the renowned residency program founded by the artist.

Founded by Kehinde Wiley in 2019, Black Rock Sénégal is a vibrant multidisciplinary artist-in-residency program located in Dakar, Sénégal. The release of Portrait of Marie-Agnès Diene portrays a significant contribution to Wiley's body of work, as it represents his first female portrait to be featured in a charitable print edition of work and underscores his dedication to supporting the residency program. All net proceeds from the drop will benefit the celebrated program, which has hosted over 60 international artists in Dakar, Sénégal.

The mission of Black Rock Sénégal is to champion new artistic creation through collaborative exchange and to reshape the global narrative surrounding contemporary Africa. This charitable partnership marks the fourth annual collaboration between the artist and Black Rock Sénégal. Following the success of previous release, including Dimietrus Study (2021), Sharrod Hosten Study III (2020), and Head of a Young Girl Veiled (2019), Portrait of Marie-Agnès Diene continues this tradition of impactful and purpose-driven artistic collaboration.
