Besler's Florilegium, Shoe Salesman Hoodie
$280.00
This sublimated all over print, unisex hoodie features imagery pulled directly from Kehinde Wiley’s painting, Besler’s Florilegium, Shoe Salesman. Luxuriously crafted with comfort, warmth and durability in mind, this sweatshirt has a plush cotton interior, satin-lined hood and a shell of soft, ring-spun poly.
Reimagined and redesigned specifically for this limited-edition hoodie, Wiley selected his painting Besler’s Florilegium, Shoe Salesmen (2012) for its dramatic design filled with uniquely stylized lush greenery and scarlet hibiscus against a background of vibrant, celestial blue. The design wraps around the garment’s arms, pockets and back, surrounding a new narrative version of this visionary portrait of the everyday hero.

About Black Rock Senegal

Established in 2019, Black Rock Senegal is a multidisciplinary artist-in-residence program founded by Kehinde Wiley in Dakar, Senegal. The program brings together international artists to live and work at Wiley’s coastal compound for 1-3 month residencies. Designed by Senegalese architect Abib Djenne, the complex includes a residence and studio space for Wiley along with 3 single-occupancy residency apartments with adjacent studio spaces. Our mission is to support new artistic creation through collaborative exchange and to incite change in the global discourse about Africa.
